To fly higher in Spyro, use the Superfly power-up. It's usually found in specific levels like Flight or Speedway ones!
Flying higher isn't really possible except in specific challenge levels where you can find a Superfly power-up.
You can't really 'fly higher' in normal gameplay, just those specific flight levels.
Make sure you're in a level that supports Superfly. Once you get the power-up, you'll be able to go higher.
