First things first, get comfortable with the B-17's flight characteristics. She's a big, beautiful Flying Fortress, but she handles like a bus! Keep your distance from enemy fighters, use your gunners effectively, and always keep an eye on your altitude!
As a veteran B-17 pilot, I suggest leading your squad with high-altitude bombing runs. Remember, you're not a fighter, so stay out of dogfights!
Gain altitude ASAP and stay high. Your gunners are your best defense, so keep those enemy fighters away. Bomb accurately by practicing your runs!
