To free Jacob from the cage, you need to make sure Ryan and Laura don't use the syringes on each other during Chapter 7. Then in Chapter 8, when Ryan hears the commotion, choose to investigate the cages. Use the electricity to change the circuit and free Jacob – but be careful, one wrong move and it's zap city!

During Chapter 8, choose to investigate the commotion with Ryan. Then when you get to the cages, solve the circuit puzzle to free Jacob. Took me a few tries, but it's worth it!

Just make sure not to mess up the circuit puzzle when you find him in the cage. Seriously, it's like playing wire cutting in a bad action movie.

Freeing Jacob involves solving a circuit puzzle in Chapter 8. Avoid using syringes on each other prior, then focus on rewiring correctly. Good luck!
