To friend someone in Animal Crossing, you first gotta meet them either in your own village or theirs. If you're visiting someone's island, ask for their Dodo Code or if they're at yours, open your gate at the airport. After hanging out, just open your NookPhone in the game, select the "Best Friends List" app, and send them a friend request. Make sure you're both online and have a Nintendo Online subscription to do this!

Short answer: Go to the airport, travel or invite someone, then add them via the Best Friends List on your NookPhone. Easy peasy!

Honestly, just ask for their friend code IRL and add them through your Switch. Sometimes it's faster than fiddling around in-game.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
