How to generate Steam keys

They're meant for promotions, reviews, or maybe to hook your friends up with a copy. But remember, it's all monitored, so no funny business.

Short answer: You can't just generate Steam keys unless you're a developer with a game on the platform. It's not a DIY project for gamers.
Steam keys ain't for the public to make. They're for devs to distribute their games. Got a game on Steam? Then you'll have the power to create keys through the developer tools Valve provides. Used some of these keys myself when I launched my indie game. Super useful for getting the word out.
