Honestly, it's mostly luck. I spent hours looking for one, then found two in a row. Keep at it, and you'll bump into one eventually. Just make sure you're searching during the right months!

Catching a spider crab in Animal Crossing is all about timing and patience! Spider crabs appear in the ocean, so you'll need a wetsuit to dive for them. They show up in March through April in the Northern Hemisphere and September through October in the Southern Hemisphere. Look for a large shadow in the ocean while swimming; it could be your elusive spider crab. Remember, they're a bit faster than other sea creatures, so be ready to chase!

Just swim and grab it, easy! The spider crab's huge, can't miss it.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
