Pole vaulting is the OG way, but let's not forget Terraforming once you unlock it! Terraforming is Animal Crossing's version of playing God. You can just delete the rivers if they're in your way. Ultimate power move.

Jumping over rivers in Animal Crossing is simple but cool! First up, you'll need a Vaulting Pole. To get one, just chat with Blathers – he’s the owl dude obsessed with fossils. He’ll give you a recipe to craft the pole. Grab some softwood by whacking trees with your flimsy axe, and voila, river jumping time! Later in the game, you can also build bridges, which let you cross water in style. Just talk to Tom Nook about infrastructure, and you'll be on your way to bridging those gaps.

You can also just swim, ya know? Get a wet suit, jump in the ocean, and paddle your way around. Who needs bridges or poles?

Bridges are the classiest way across. Who needs a pole when you can stroll across a beautifully designed bridge? Terraforming feels like cheating.

Vaulting Pole for the win. Quick, easy, and doesn’t mess with the aesthetic of your island. Plus, it’s kinda fun.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
