To get your hands on some Cobalt Ore in Terraria, you've gotta start by smashing some Demon/Crimson Altars with the Pwnhammer you snagged from defeating the Wall of Flesh. This will cause Cobalt Ore to start spawning in your world, but keep in mind, it'll only appear in the Cavern layers. Happy mining!

Just use Spelunker Potions and go nuts in the Caverns. Trust me, it's like a treasure hunt but with more monsters trying to kill you.

Honestly, Cobalt isn't worth the hype, focus on getting to Adamantite or Titanium gear ASAP.

If you're absolutely desperate for Cobalt Ore and can't seem to find any, remember that fishing in Hardmode can also net you some crates that have a chance to contain Cobalt Ore. It's a more peaceful, though arguably slower, method to get your materials.
