In Smash Ultimate, Duck Hunt is already unlocked from the start if you鈥檙e playing World of Light. Otherwise, you can unlock them through classic mode or by fighting them as a challenger after a few matches.
DLCs and updates usually add characters without the need for lengthy unlock processes. It's the modern way!
Just play through Classic Mode multiple times with different characters! Duck Hunt will eventually pop up for a fight, then just beat them to unlock.
