Getting a fishing rod in Terraria is pretty straightforward! You can craft a basic Wood Fishing Rod with just 8 pieces of any wood at a Work Bench. If you're looking for something a bit more advanced, the Reinforced Fishing Rod requires 8 Iron Bars or 8 Lead Bars and an Iron Anvil or Lead Anvil to craft. For the best rods, like the Sitting Duck's Fishing Pole, you'll need to buy them from the Traveling Merchant for 35 gold. Happy fishing!

Just hit some trees, grab 8 wood, and make yourself a simple fishing rod at a work bench. Easy peasy.

Honestly, just buy the Sitting Duck's Fishing Pole from the Traveling Merchant. It's the best way to go if you ask me.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:
