To feed your chickens in Stardead Valley, you gotta plant and harvest grass using Grass Starter from Pierre's general store or JojaMart. After planting, let it grow, then cut it with a scythe to get hay. You can also buy hay directly from Marnie’s Ranch if you’re short on time or grass.

Easy. Just buy some hay from Marnie's shop, or grow grass on your farm and then cut it down. Chickens eat hay, which you can put in your coop's feeding bench.

to feed chickens, just let them outside if the weathers nice. they'll eat grass. no need to buy food if you manage it right.

Don’t overthink it. Grass or hay, that’s the menu. Buy hay from Marnie or chop grass. Chickens aren’t picky.
