You can get gold by mining gold rocks in the Buffalkor Island or by defeating Buffalkor in the Buffalkor Island. Trust me, smashing those Buffalkor is oddly satisfying!
Make sure to defeat Buffalkors as they drop gold as well, plus you get other useful loot!
