My go-to: Take down those freaks like Juggernauts. The bigger they are, the more influence you earn. Trust me, it's worth the risk!
Trade often and scavange materials! Finishing scavenging missions and trading items gets you a bunch of influence fast. Taking out Plague Hearts is another great way too. Happy hunting!
As someone who's played way too much SoD2, I swear by helping other enclaves. Do favors for them, and the influence flows in like nobody's business.
Influence isn't worth stressing over, just enjoy the game and it'll come naturally.
