To pick locks in Fallout 76, you'll need to level up your character first. Once you hit level 5, you can start investing points in the Perception attribute. Look out for the 'Picklock' perk card under Perception. You'll have to equip this perk to start lockpicking. Remember, there are different levels of locks - more challenging locks require a higher level of the Picklock perk, so keep leveling up and upgrading your Picklock skill!

It's all about the perk cards, buddy! Just level up, snatch the 'Picklock' perk card under Perception, and you're golden. Don't forget, tougher locks need higher levels of the perk, so level up that Perception and keep your eyes peeled for perk card upgrades!

Nope, you can't just pick locks from the get-go. Gotta earn that skill by leveling up and grabbing the Picklock perk card. Simple as that.
