Honestly, just beat Skeletron, head into the Dungeon, and look around. The Mechanic will be somewhere in there, tied up and waiting to be rescued. Once you find and free her, make sure you've got a house for her to move into.

Pro Tip: When looking for the Mechanic, keep an eye out for the bound NPC that looks like she's tinkering. Found her in my first Dungeon exploration after beating Skeletron. Just make sure you got an empty house for her!

Easy peasy! To snag the Mechanic in Terraria, you gotta dive into the Dungeon. But there's a catch - you gotta defeat Skeletron first to safely enter without getting insta-smashed by Dungeon Guardians. Once Skeletron is history, wander around the Dungeon until you spot the Mechanic tied up. Simply walk up to her and press the action button to free her. Bam! She'll head back to your base as long as you've got a suitable NPC room ready for her.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
