Thermal plants are a great option if you're near volcanic activity. Just make sure you don't get roasted while setting them up!
Solar panels are the easiest. Slap a bunch of them on your base, and you're good to go鈥攄aytime power for days.
Build more solar panels and place them in sunny spots! Or, if you're deep underwater, go for a bioreactor or nuclear reactor for awesome power boosts.
Basically, solar panels are nice and safe but limited. Go nuclear if you want unlimited power and don't mind dealing with the rods.
