How to Get Ness in Super Smash Bros

In Super Smash Bros Ultimate, just keep playing! Ness will challenge you after you鈥檝e played a certain number of matches. Smash him off the stage to unlock him.
For Super Smash Bros Melee, beat Classic mode with any character on any difficulty, but make sure you have at least one stock remaining, and then defeat Ness in a match.
Ness is basically the OG unlockable character. Just play 1-player mode on normal difficulty without continues in the original game, and he's yours!
