To free Peach in Super Mario 64 DS, you gotta collect at least 80 Power Stars. After that, defeat Bowser in the final showdown in the third floor's endless stairs area. Rescue complete!

First, collect 80 Power Stars. Then, head to the top floor of the castle and take on Bowser in his final form. Good luck!

From my experience, I needed 80 stars minimum. After that, a couple of jumps, a few spins with Bowser, and Peach was saved!

Forget all the fancy instructions, you just need 80 Power Stars and then stomp Bowser one last time to save Peach. Easy peasy!
