Raiding and hatching eggs are great ways to get a bunch of candy quickly, especially for rarer Pokemon.
Try transferring Pokemon you don't need to Professor Willow. You'll get one candy for each transfer. Thrifty, but effective.
Use Pinap Berries when you catch Pokemon. It doubles the candy you get, making each catch way more rewarding.
