Forget proximity chat. Use Discord and manually mute/unmute yourself based on your location in the game. It’s a bit old-school but works fine.

To enable proximity chat in Among Us, download the CrewLink mod. Install it, run it, and then launch Among Us through the mod’s application. Bingo! You’ll be able to hear nearby crewmates!
