How to Get Slope Intercept Form
DistributingJoke路2 months agoEasiest way? Just use the formula y = mx + b. Find 'm' (slope) by dividing the change in y by the change in x (rise over run). Then, find 'b' (y-intercept) by solving for y when x = 0!

From my years of teaching, I've found it best to always start by finding the slope first. Break it up into small pieces, and it'll be less daunting!
If you have two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), start by calculating the slope m = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1). Then, plug this slope and one of the points into y = mx + b to solve for b.
Google it. It's faster.
Seriously, just rearrange any linear equation to the form y = mx + b. It'll do the trick!
