How to Get Sound from Xbox 360
Make sure your HDMI or AV cables are correctly connected to both the Xbox 360 and your TV or sound system. If those cables are good and connected, go into the Xbox settings and ensure audio output is set properly—sometimes it resets!

One time I had a similar problem and found out my TV was on mute... Double-check the basics!
Just use a pair of headphones plugged into your controller. Easiest fix.
If you're using HDMI, check that the audio settings on your Xbox 360 are set to 'Digital Stereo' or '5.1 Surround.' AV cables? Make sure they're plugged in right.
You might need to update your Xbox 360’s software. Sometimes, an update fixes these kinds of glitches.
