Chromebooks are more versatile than people give them credit for! To get Steam on your Chromebook, first, make sure your device's operating system is up to date. Then, you'll need to install Linux (Beta) on your Chromebook from the settings. After setting up Linux, download the Steam installation package from the Steam website. Open the Terminal, run the installation commands, and voila, you've got Steam running on your Chromebook!

Got Steam running on my Chromebook and it's not rocket science. Enable Linux, download Steam for Linux, install, and game on! Sure, it's not perfect, but it's awesome for indie games and older titles.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
