Catching tarantulas in Animal Crossing is a thrilling way to earn some serious bells, but you gotta be brave! First, find them during their active hours, which are from 7 PM to 4 AM from November to April. Make sure your island is in the Northern Hemisphere, or adjust your game's time if you're in the Southern Hemisphere. Clear out an area on your island by removing trees, stumps, flowers, and rocks to make spotting them easier. Walk around until a tarantula spawns. When you see one, approach it slowly with your net, and when it raises its front legs, stop moving. Once it lowers its legs, move closer until you're in range, then catch it with your net!

Honestly, I just run around like a headless chicken until I miraculously catch one. They're scary, okay?

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
