Back in the day, you could sign up on The Division's official website for beta access. Not sure if they still do that for upcoming updates, but worth a check!

Just pre-order the game. That's the most straightforward way to get the beta access.

Honestly, the easiest trick was to find a friend who pre-ordered and grab one of those extra codes they often gave out.
