You can get the legit Wordle! app by heading to the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android. Just search 'Wordle!' by The New York Times!

I downloaded it straight from the Apple App Store by searching 'Wordle!' - make sure it's the one from The New York Times.

Don't bother with random sites. Go straight to the App Store or Google Play Store and search 'Wordle!' by The New York Times.

Why app anyway? The browser version at nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html works perfectly fine!

If you're a Wordle! player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Wordle! essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
