Found it! You can access the Precursor base by navigating through the Lost River. Head toward the Lava Lakes and look for the large Precursor structure. Be sure to have a purple or blue tablet handy to unlock doors.
Just head to the Lava Zone and look for the giant alien structure. You'll need a lot of heat resistance and a blue tablet to get in.
