How to Get to the Wizard in Stardew Valley
Just check your mail, dude. The wizard will hit you up with an invite. Then, just take a little trip to the west side of the map. Boom, you're in wizard territory.

So, you wanna meet the wizard, huh? Easy peasy! First, you gotta unlock the Community Center cutscene, which happens by the 5th day of Spring in your first year. After that, you'll get a letter from the wizard, aka M. Rasmodius, inviting you to his tower. His tower is on the western edge of Cindersap Forest, just south of your farm. Simply head west from your farm, and you can't miss it. Go knock on his door to get started on some magical adventures!
Honestly, meeting the wizard is overrated. Better spend that time fishing or farming. Trust me, it's a more productive use of your in-game day.
