Honestly, just wait. Dogmeat tends to roam but he’ll pop back up at settlements. Make sure you check all the dog houses in Sanctuary because he loves those. Lost him once and found him chilling like he owned the place.

Losing your furry companion in the wasteland? No worries! If Dogmeat ran off, he usually heads back to one of your settlements, often to the Red Rocket near Sanctuary. Just chill and give it some time, or fast travel to another location and back to speed up the process. If you've built a dog house at your settlement, check there! Sometimes Dogmeat likes to take a little nap in his personal space. If all else fails, you can use the 'move to player' command on PC to teleport him right to your side.

No need to panic, just give it time or fast travel. Dogmeat always finds his way back. And check those dog houses!

Easiest way? Don’t lose your dog in the first place ? But seriously, just check your settlements, especially where you placed dog houses.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
