Gifting on Steam is pretty simple and straight to the point. First, find the game you want to gift in the Steam store. Then click 'Add to Cart' and choose 'Purchase as a gift'. Steam will then ask you to select the friend from your friend list. After that, just personalize your gift message and complete the purchase. Your friend will receive a notification and can accept the gift from their Steam inventory!

Hot take: Gifting on Steam? Just send your friend some cash or a Steam gift card. Way easier, and they get to pick what they actually want.

I gifted a game to my friend for his birthday directly through Steam, and it was super smooth. Just make sure your friend doesn't already own the game, or it's a bit awkward. Happened to me once, oops.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
