Just drop the stuff on the ground near them. It's easy and quick!
To give items in Sons of the Forest, open your inventory and select the item you want to share, then use the 'Give' command when you're near a friend.
In my experience, just equip the item and walk up to your friend – an option to give it to them will usually pop up.
