Actually, it's super simple. Go to server settings, create a role in the 'Roles' section, and then assign it through the member's settings.
To give roles on Discord, go to your server settings, click on 'Roles,' and then hit the little '+' sign to create a new role. Next, you can assign it to users by clicking on their names and selecting their shiny new role from the dropdown menu. Easy peasy!
