I do it all the time with my friends! As long as you're on an Xbox or PlayStation, just plug in both controllers, sign in with both accounts, and jump into Duos or Squads. Easy peasy!
Just make sure you're on a supported console (PlayStation or Xbox), connect two controllers, and sign both players in. Navigate to the lobby, press the login button on the second controller, and you're good to go! Simple as that.
To go split screen on Fortnite, you'll need two controllers and a PlayStation or Xbox console. Just log in to the first account and start a game in Duos or Squads mode. Then, press and hold the login button on the second controller while in the lobby. Boom, you're ready to share the screen!
Unfortunately, split screen is not available on PC, Switch, or mobile. Stick to PlayStation or Xbox for that feature.
