Start by plotting the y-intercept on the y-axis. Then use the slope to determine the rise over run to plot your next point. Connect the two points with a straight line. Easy peasy!

First, find the y-intercept (b) on the y-axis and put a point there. Then, use the slope (m) to find the next point by going up or down (depending on if m is positive or negative) and over (right). Connect the dots, and voila, you've got your line!

I teach algebra, so trust me on this. Plot your y-intercept first. Then use the slope to determine the next point. If the slope is 2, go up 2 units and 1 unit to the right. Repeat and draw your line through these points.

Just plot the y-intercept and use the slope to draw the line. Done. Next question.
