I found out the hard way that you can't just spam the grapple button and expect to Spider-Man your way across the world. You gotta aim, and timing is everything, especially when you're trying to avoid falling into lava or escaping from a tough fight. Let's just say there were... several unfortunate lava incidents before I got the hang of it.
Grapping in Terraria is super simple once you get the hang of it! First, you need a Grappling Hook, which you can craft or find during your adventures. Then, just equip it in one of your inventory's accessory slots or keep it in your hotbar. When you're ready to grapple, aim where you want to go with your cursor, and press the grapple key (default is 'E' on PC, 'L1' or 'R1' on console, and there's a special button on mobile). You'll shoot your hook and zip right to the point you targeted. Super handy for quick escapes or reaching high places!
