To grow trees in Stardew Valley, you gotta first get yourself some seeds – either from chopping down trees or buying from Pierre's shop. Then, clear a nice spot on your land free from objects or other trees. Plant the seed in that spot and make sure not to plant anything directly adjacent to it, 'cause trees need space to breathe and grow. Watering isn't necessary, but patience is; it takes a full season for trees to grow to maturity.

All ya need to do is find some tree seeds, clear a little space on your farm, and plop those seeds into the ground. No water needed – just give 'em time, and you'll have a fully grown tree in a season. Pro tip: Keep the area around your saplings clear to avoid stunting their growth!

Quick tip: Saplings won't grow if there's stuff right next to them. Keep the area around them clear!
