Alright, here’s the quick fix: Hold the power button for 10 seconds until it turns off. Unplug the power cable, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Voilà, hard reset complete!

Just press and hold the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. Done and done!

From experience: Hold the power button for 10 sec till it shuts off. Unplug, wait a bit, plug back in, power up. Easy peasy.
