How to Hide Friends on Instagram
You can't hide your followers directly, but you can make your account private so only approved followers can see your posts. Go to Settings > Privacy > Account Privacy and switch to Private Account!

The best way to hide your friends is to make your profile private. This way, only people you approve can see your followers and posts.
Unfortunately, Instagram doesn't let you hide your friends list. You can, however, remove followers you don't want seeing your stuff directly from your followers list.
Short answer: You can't. Instagram doesn't have a feature to hide friends.
