First, turn off your PS3 and unplug all the cables. Find the hard drive bay on the side of your console, remove the cover, and unscrew the blue screw. Pull out the metal caddy, swap the old drive for the new one, and reverse the steps to reassemble. Easy peasy!

I had to do this last month. Make sure you've backed up your data first! Then follow the steps to remove the cover, unscrew the caddy, swap drives, and put everything back together. If you need specifics, this guide from Sony should help: [Sony PS3 Hard Drive Replacement Guide](https://www.playstation.com/support/).

Don't forget to format the new drive once it's installed, or your PS3 won't recognize it. You can do this in the console's settings menu.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
