Just grab the blueprint, head to the crafting station, and slap that grid module onto your ship!
From personal experience, I found the blueprint for the grid module during a mission on one of the distant planets. Once you secure the blueprint, head over to your ship, enter the ship customization menu, and attach it seamlessly!
