First off, you've gotta dive into Desktop Mode on your Steam Deck. Then, hit up the Discover software center and search for 'ProtonUp-Qt'. Install that bad boy. Open ProtonUp-Qt and simply add a new version of Proton GE. It'll do its thing and download the version you select. Once it's done, jump back to Gaming Mode, go to your Steam Library, right-click the game you want to use with Proton GE, click Properties, and under Compatibility, check the box to force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool. Boom, select the Proton GE version you installed. Game on!
