Super easy! Just start a game, either create a new world or load an existing one. Then, click 'Start Server' and enable the 'Community Server' option. Share the server name and password with your friend and they can join you via the 'Join Game' tab!

Been playing Valheim with a buddy for a while now. All you do is enable 'Community Server' when starting your world, then give your friend the login info. Works like a charm!
