To keep your Splatfest Tee in Splatoon 2, you can try not returning it after the Splatfest event ends, but unfortunately, it'll get removed anyway. Splatfests are special events, so think of the tee as a limited-time team uniform.
Even tried hiding it in my inventory, but Nintendo's got their ways. Those tees are like boomerangs.
You can't permanently keep the Splatfest Tee in Splatoon 2. It's just a temporary piece during Splatfest events.
