Energy weapons are key! High-damage energy weapons tear through their health. And if you got Power Armor, even better. Get up close, aim for the head or legs, and don't let up. Also, using companions as distractions can give you the edge you need. Remember, Assaultrons can't chase you if they can't walk.
Energy weapons? More like 'meh' weapons for Assaultrons. Just grab a fat man and call it a day. One mini nuke, problem solved.
