Use a high-caliber sniper and aim for the head. Also, keep running! You don't want to be a zombie snack.
Hit and run! Trust me, it's the best way. Hit them a few times, then get out before they can counterattack.
Molotovs and other fire-based weapons work great. Just set them ablaze and watch them burn while you keep your distance.
Pro tip: Use vehicles. Just run them over repeatedly. Sure, it's not glamorous, but it works!
