Eater of Worlds can be tough, but it's all about the prep. First, get yourself some decent armor, doesn't have to be anything fancy, Iron or Silver will do at the start. Weapons? Grenades, lots of 'em. They do wonders against its multiple sections. Also, if you can craft The Ball O' Hurt or get your hands on a Vilethorn, you're golden. Set up an arena with platforms in the corrupt biome so you can move and dodge as needed. Remember, it's all about hitting multiple segments at once to maximize your damage!
Honestly, potions are underrated. Ironskin, Regeneration, and if you can, Thorns. These will give you the edge you need to not only survive longer but also deal some passive damage.
Who needs strategy? Just overpower it with the strongest gear you got. Fight fire with fire, or in this case, monster with overkill.
