Super easy! Just look for a tiny '1st Edition' symbol stamped right below the picture of the Pokemon on the left side. It looks like a little black circle with a '1' and the word 'Edition' inside it. If you see that, you've hit the jackpot with a first edition card!

If it doesn't say '1st Edition' clearly on the card, then it's not first edition. Some folks get confused with shadowless or holographic cards, but remember, no symbol, no first edition.

Actually, not all first edition cards are worth more. Sure, some can fetch a pretty penny, especially in mint condition. But others might not be as valuable as you'd think. Always check recent sales of similar cards to get a realistic idea of what yours might be worth.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
