Hold 'X' to open the map, then select a super jump point (like a teammate or spawn point) using the D-pad, and hit 'A' to launch.
Simply hit 'X', choose where you want to go on the map, and press 'A'. Easy peasy!
In Splatoon 2, you launch by opening your map with 'X', selecting a teammate with the 'D-pad', and pressing 'A'. Boom, you're off!
