Actually, there's no traditional "lock picking" in Hogwarts Legacy. You'll gain access to Alohomora, the unlocking spell, as you progress in the game. This spell allows you to open locked doors and chests. So, instead of traditional lock picks, you're using magic! The challenge comes in the form of a mini-game where you'll align magical patterns to unlock. It's all about that wizard finesse!

Lock picking in Hogwarts Legacy is more about timing and pattern recognition than anything else. When you're lock picking, you'll see a series of tumblers inside the lock. Your goal is to stop these tumblers in the correct position by pressing the action button at the right moment. It might take a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you do, you'll be opening every locked chest in Hogwarts like a pro!
