From personal experience, the most important part is making sure you're connected to the right lobby. Once in, find a Ring Match spot, set your match settings, and you're good to go!
Go to the lobby, find an empty Ring Match area, and press the button prompt to create a match. Set your rules and wait for challengers!
Lobby -> Ring Match area -> Create match. Boom. Done.
